Champion thoroughbred foal at Chaser Day 2021, this foal is from the first crop of Nirvana du Berlais.
His dam, Areej du Val, is closely related to Beaumec de Houelle, G1 winner of the Prix Cambaceres. The 2nd dam, Areej, produced 6 winners from 9 foals and this carries on the whole way down the female line.
“This is a foal who always caught the eye and we didn’t hesitate to bring him to the Chaser Day” explained his breeder Nicolas Ferrand. “He has evolved in a harmonious way. The jury said that he moved very well and that he had a lot of presence. The choice of a cross with a son of Martaline was made to be as close as possible to that of Beaumec de Houelle.”
