Looking for an exceptional venue for your events?

Renowned for breeding horse champions for over two centuries, the Haras de Bois Roussel has undergone a complete renovation to accommodate horse racing auction sales, as well as art sales and private events. Its rich historical background currently positions it as one of the most beautiful sites ever dedicated to horse racing auction sales.

Once the largest stud farm in France, covering 312 hectares, the Haras de Bois Roussel was established in 1802 by the Roederer family. It has since been home to prominent breeders such as Henry Delamarre, the "captain" J.-D. Cohn, Léon Volterra, Countess Batthyany, and more recently, the broodmares of the Wildenstein family, as well as the yearlings of Jean-Pierre Dubois.

Located just 15 minutes from Alençon, it offers the charm of stone and all modern comforts with a splendid view of the Norman countryside. The Haras de Bois Roussel features a modular marquee that can accommodate up to 600 guests, and its wooded estate and typical Norman architecture provide a magnificent setting for celebrations or photo shoots.

The Haras de Bois Roussel was once the largest stud farm in France and is part of the history of Normandy and French horse racing.
